Integrated vision systems, labellers and the CMY55CB4 wrapping unit on show in the States
From 9th to 13th November, Sacmi will be at the fair organised by the Packaging Machinery Manufactures Institute, the most important association of packaging industrialists operating in the US and Canada. In addition to a strong presence that will include sales teams from Sacmi USA, Sacmi Imola Closures&Containers, Sacmi Filling and Sacmi Packaging, the Group will also be exhibiting, on stand S-421, the PVS 2, developed by the Automation & Inspection Systems Division of SACMI Imola, the Opera Roll Fed 24T/SR S1/E1 labeller and HS04 labelling station by Sacmi Labelling and the CMY55CB4 chocolate wrapping machine by Carle and Montanari Packaging.
The PVS can detect, on-line, any pre-form defects and interact with the line immediately to prevent repetition of the error. Able to be installed at the side of the press, the PVS 2 optimises the production process thanks to an innovative in-line sampling system that is able to detect the progressive “deterioration” of pre-form product quality.
A high-speed labelling machine, the Opera Roll Fed 24T/SR S1/E1, which features a CVS LVS001 quality control system, is designed to label at a rate of 45,000 bph (500 ml PET bottles) and can apply wrap-around or partial labels on cylindrical and shaped containers made of PET, glass or metal.
Moreover, like all Sacmi Labelling machines, it has been designed to minimise maintenance and ensure super-fast size changeovers.
The CVSLVS001 system, instead, detects labelling defects such as frontal label position errors, misaligned collar coupling, double labels, oblique labels and print errors.
Sacmi Labelling will also be exhibiting the HS04 labelling station, designed and built to supply cutting-edge self-adhesive label application performance (line speeds 140 m/min) on containers of different shapes and materials. It can be installed on both rotary and linear labelling machines.
